Stainless · oak · acrylic · glass shelf
Cabinet Interiors
The interior is what you see every time the door opens, and it changes the price more than the frame does.
Four options
| Interior | Look | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Stainless cradle | Neutral, industrial, bright | Coolest appearance, most durable |
| North American red oak | Warm, classic wine room | Standard timber cradle, cost-effective |
| White oak | Open grain, paler, calmer | 3 – 4× the material cost, longer to source |
| Acrylic grid | Bottles appear to float | Scratches; yellows under UV — behind glass only |
| Glass shelf | Maximum light, minimum visual weight | Not a cradle — bottles stand, so it is for display rows |
Cradle depth and pitch
Every row is cut to a pitch set from the bottles you own. Bordeaux at 90 mm, Burgundy at 95 mm, Champagne at 100 mm, magnum at 110 mm.
Bottles rest on a 3 mm felt-lined cradle so labels are not marked. On a mixed cellar, the rows that take Champagne or magnum are labelled on the drawing.

Questions
The questions that come up before an order
Can I mix oak and stainless?
Yes, and it is the most common specification: stainless structure with an oak cradle, so the metal does the work and the timber does the warmth.
Does the felt come in colours?
Black or grey as standard. Any other colour is a minimum order.

Tell us what the room is like
Sun, humidity, dust and how often the door opens all decide the material. Describe the room and we will rule options out rather than in.
