Metallic Lacquer
Metallic Lacquer is one of the eight stainless finish families we hold in the factory. Fine metallic flake under clear coat. Under a warm light it reads as champagne; under a cold light it reads as silver. This is the family most hotel projects specify.
What Metallic Lacquer is
Fine metallic flake under clear coat. Under a warm light it reads as champagne; under a cold light it reads as silver. This is the family most hotel projects specify. It is a stainless steel wine cabinet finish, applied in the same workshop that folds the frame, which is why a code and a cabinet can be confirmed on the same drawing.
Where it works
- Champagne gold and champagne silver frames against warm interiors.
- Hotel guest rooms, where the finish has to survive daily handling.
- Dining rooms with warm 3,000 K lighting.
Where it does not
- Direct sunlight on a large flat panel — flake finishes show a soft blotch where the light rakes across.
Care
A microfibre cloth, dry. The clear coat is the finish; a wax will dull it.
